Industrial Engineering International Undergraduate Program

What is Industrial Engineering?

Industrial engineering is a field that focuses on optimizing complex systems and processes to improve the efficiency and productivity of businesses and organizations. Industrial engineers use various tools and techniques to analyze operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to increase efficiency. We play a crucial role in streamlining operations, minimizing costs, reducing waste, and enhancing quality. Overall, Industrial Engineering aims to maximize resources, minimize bottlenecks, and create sustainable solutions that drive organizational success.

Curriculum

Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide students with a solid foundation and equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the field of Industrial Engineering. Here’s an overview of our curriculum:

1st Year - Foundation:

In the first year, students will establish a strong base by focusing on fundamental subjects. This includes courses in basic science, which will lay the groundwork for scientific principles and concepts. Additionally, basic technology and art courses will provide a well-rounded education, enhancing critical thinking and communication skills. Students will also explore the principles of general engineering, developing a broad understanding of engineering disciplines.

2nd Year - Basic Skill:

Building upon the foundation, the second year emphasizes the acquisition of essential skills. Students will delve into the fundamental methodologies used in Industrial Engineering. Students will learn about the core principles, tools, and techniques that form the backbone of the field. Through hands-on experiences and practical applications, students will develop a solid understanding of Industrial Engineering practices.

3rd Year - Study Program:

In the third year, students will dive deeper into the study program, focusing on advanced subjects specific to Industrial Engineering. These courses will cover advanced topics in areas such as production planning, supply chain management, quality control, optimization, and operations research. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of Industrial Engineering, allowing them to analyze complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement.

4th Year - Final:

The fourth and final year of our program is dedicated to the culmination of studentslearning journey. Students will engage in a capstone project, a culminating experience that integrates the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program. Working closely with faculty advisors, students will undertake an engineering design project, applying their expertise to solve real-world industrial challenges. This hands-on experience will enable them to showcase their problem-solving abilities, creativity, and teamwork skills.

Our curriculum is designed to prepare students for a successful career in Industrial Engineering. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and real-world applications, our graduates are well-equipped to make a significant impact in various industries

Academic Journey

Students enrolled in the IUP will complete their academic journey through a structured international pathway designed to provide both strong foundational knowledge and global exposure.

Semester 1 – 6: Academic Study at ITB

During the first six semesters, students will undertake their core coursework at ITB. This phase focuses on building strong theoretical foundations, analytical skills, and professional competencies within their chosen field of study. Courses are delivered in an international academic environment aligned with global standards.

Semester 7: International Student Exchange

In the seventh semester, students will participate in a student exchange program at one of ITB’s partner universities abroad. This international experience enables students to:

  • Engage in cross-cultural academic collaboration
  • Experience different educational systems and research environments
  • Expand their global academic and professional networks

Semester 8: Final Year Project at ITB

In the eighth semester, students return to ITB to complete their Final Year Project (Undergraduate Thesis). Under the supervision of ITB faculty members, students conduct independent research or applied projects that demonstrate their academic mastery and professional readiness.
